Together with Professor Leandro De Oliveira, the joint lead Principal Investigator with Professor Andrew Shennan for the NIHR PAPAGAIO Programme, PAPAGAIO was launched in Brazil! It was fantastic to visit Maria-Laura in Campinas University, and hear all about the very impressive research she and her multi-disciplinary team have been conducting over the past 20 years.
This was followed by a trip to Ribeirão Preto to visit Ricardo Cavalli and Priscila Barbosa, where we visited several different hospitals providing extremely high quality care for their women.
We then visited Leandro in Botucatu Medical School, UNESP, where all the site principal investigators attended for presentations from Professor Andrew Shennan and Professor Leandro De Oliveira, protocol training and demonstration of point of care placental growth factor testing. We’re very excited about the clinical trial starting very soon!
